What is Abiding part 2

What do I need to do in order to abide?

Reading God’s Word for transformation: This is one of the first steps

Holy Spirit will communicate His word to us as in John 14:26

Reading one book in the Bible, treasuring it and focusing on it can bring about what is spoke about throughout Psalm 119.

God’s word transforms my mind. My way of seeing things shifts to the way God sees things. So I respond the way God would respond.

This is a change of focus from knowing it is God’s word to living it as God’s word.

Transformation comes from the Word of God, and his power, not from my efforts or from attending events.

Nehemiah and Sanballot, the example of conflict at work (Nehemiah 6:1-3).

Jesus won’t leave us as orphans, he is giving us His Holy Spirit. John 14:16-18, 23

God tells Joshua to read his word, not ready the troops and arms

Joshua 1:1-9

Isaiah 36 and 38
